GDPR harmonizes data privacy law & regulation across Europe and is related to processing and controlling personal data.

To se-up your Recruitly’s GDPR configuration please follow the below steps:

Step 1: Go to System Configuration and click on GDPR Configuration.



The configuration page has 4 tabs that you can edit:

General Settings

Privacy Policy

Candidate Wording

Contact Wording

Step 2: Fill in the General Settings with information for Data protection officer, Consent Email & expiry.




a. General Settings - You can turn these options on/off to : Allow candidates to edit their profile, to extend the consent when they submit CV or to disable the reject button in the consent email.

b. Data Protection Officer - Fill in the Name, Email, Mobile and Address of the Data Protection Officer for your business.

c. Send Consent Email From - You can select the email you want the recipient to see which could be default, the record owner or a specific email id.

d. Consent Withdraw Email - Consent withdrawal emails would use this email id.

e. GDPR Default Expiry - You can add a default expiry for GDPR consent from candidates.

Step 3: Click on the Privacy Policy tab and add in your company’s privacy policy. You can add a link from your website or you can copy paste the privacy policy in the available space.



Step 4: Click on the Candidate wording tab to edit and/or update the existing wording available for consent emails for candidates. There are three sections : Consent Request, Consent Provided, Consent Withdrawn.





Step 5: Click on the Contact wording tab to edit and/or update the existing wording available for consent emails for contacts. There are three sections : Consent Request, Consent Provided, Consent Withdrawn.
