Goals in Pulse help you set clear expectations for performance across the company. They define the targets that teams and users work toward and give everyone a consistent understanding of what success looks like. Once goals are assigned, Pulse tracks progress automatically and keeps results updated everywhere across the platform, including the Home screen, dashboards, competitions, and AI Insights.
Smart KPI Assignment
The Smart KPI Assignment page brings all goal settings into one place. It displays your company wide targets on the left, showing the total values expected for leads, billings, opportunities, contacts, placements, and interviews for the selected fiscal year. These serve as the overall benchmark that individual and team level KPIs should support.
Goals can be assigned to teams, users, or both. The selector allows you to choose entire departments or hand pick individual members who are responsible for the activity. This flexibility helps you create a clear distribution of targets across the organisation, ensuring each person or group has defined expectations.
After selecting who the goal should apply to, you can choose the activity. Pulse includes a wide range of system activities such as opportunities, contacts, candidates, jobs, placements, and more. This list ensures that KPIs match the actual work your teams are measured on. Each KPI assignment includes a target value, an interval such as monthly or weekly, and a start date. End dates can also be set when needed, although some goals are designed to remain ongoing, especially when they are part of recurring performance cycles.
AI Suggest
To help you create balanced and realistic goals, Pulse includes an AI Suggest option. When enabled, it reviews your company’s revenue information and recommends appropriate KPI targets for your teams. The Revenue Target screen allows you to enter your annual revenue goal, and the system uses this to calculate a suggested revenue range. This range helps guide the allocation of KPIs and makes goal setting more grounded and effective. AI suggestions are based on industry context and the scale of your organisation, helping you avoid unrealistic or mismatched targets.
Once KPIs are added, the list displays all assignments in a structured table. You can scroll through the full set of goals, review the metrics, and copy or delete individual entries when needed. When changes are complete, Save Assignments updates the system and applies the targets across all relevant Pulse features.
Goals become part of your daily workflow once they are saved. Progress updates automatically as activities are completed, allowing teams and users to see exactly where they stand at any moment. This continuous tracking supports better planning, consistent performance habits, and more informed reporting across the business.
