SMS Configuration
Country Restrictions:
US & Canada – Alphanumeric sender IDs are not supported. A virtual number is required.
Australia – Generic names that do not match your brand may be blocked by carriers.
Singapore – Sender IDs must be registered with the local regulator.
Follow the steps below to configure your SMS settings in Recruitly:
Step 1: Access SMS/Voice Settings
-
Click on your User Icon in the top right corner.
-
Go to System Configuration.
-
Under System Settings, select SMS/Voice Settings.
Best Practices:
Use your company or brand name for better delivery rates.
Keep the sender name clear and recognisable so recipients know who the message is from.
Avoid generic names like “SMS” or “Info”, as carriers may filter these.
Step 2: Add a New Sender
-
Click on + Add Sender.
-
Enter the From Name (this is the name recipients will see).
-
Assign the sender to your preferred user.
-
Click Save.
Your sender ID is now configured.
Important Notes:
Special characters and symbols outside A–Z, a–z, 0–9 are not supported.
Alphanumeric sender IDs are one-way only and cannot receive replies.
Some countries may override your sender ID with a local number or fixed ID to comply with regulations.
In certain markets, the provider may assign a random numeric sender ID from a local number pool.
